WAIVE ACCIDENT COVERAGE (BASIC INSURANCE)

Employed people who work at least 8 hours a week for the same employer and have accident insurance can waive the accident coverage in the basic insurance plan. Retirees cannot waive accident insurance by law (KVG).

The application to waive accident coverage is only valid if the employer confirms that the insured person has mandatory insurance for occupational (BU) and non-occupational (NBU) accidents (the application requires a stamp and the employer’s signature).
