Management of working time

The working time regulations are based on a flexible working time model, with a weekly working time of 41 hours and 40 minutes. This includes daily breaks of 20 minutes, which corresponds to a net working time of 40 hours. Employees' annual holiday allowance depends on age and function, varying between 25 and 35 working days.

New fathers also receive two weeks additional paternity leave. Mothers benefit from 16 weeks of fully paid maternity leave.

Fringe benefits

Employees of ÖKK and their relatives and partners benefit from reduced health insurance premiums. ÖKK meets family needs by providing a family allowance in excess of the statutory requirements. ÖKK's package of benefits also includes reductions on Reka Checks and generous long-service awards.

Social insurance benefits

ÖKK employees benefit from a favourable pension fund solution, which is above the Swiss mandatory minimum levels. Employees are also covered in the event of illness or accident covering 100%. In either case, the benefits are paid for a period of 730 days. The premiums for the daily sickness allowance insurance are paid in full by ÖKK.

ÖKK is committed to providing comprehensive training for all groups of employees in all relevant areas. A key employee development tool is the annual appraisal together with the related goal-setting meeting.

Promotion of health

We promote health in the workplace. An internal group of ÖKK employees focuses on this issue and regularly carries out various campaigns focussed on healthy living.
