Basic insurance with treatment in the HMO centre

HMO stands for Health Maintenance Organisation. Your first point of contact is always your doctor at the HMO centre. If specialist treatment is required, the HMO centre will refer you immediately.

If you consult a doctor, therapist or hospital without a referral from your HMO centre, you are responsible for the costs incurred yourself. Exceptions include emergencies as well as gynaecological, paediatric and optometric treatments.
