Telemedicine is medical advice provided remotely. The doctor and patient do not meet in person, but are connected with each other via telephone, the internet or a video link. The Medgate doctor makes a diagnosis by asking specific questions and listening to the replies, before informing the patient about the treatment required. Almost 50 percent of all cases do not need further treatment after a Medgate consultation.
If you have a general question on children’s illnesses, your child is suffering from a typical children’s illness or you need a second opinion, you can contact our Medgate specialists. The telemedical consultation will be held by specially trained paediatricians.
This is how it works:
As an ÖKK client, you can be at ease around the clock. Whether you develop physical problems in the middle of the night, you have a general medical question or you are unsure about whether you need to see a doctor, Medgate will provide you with advice, recommendations and medical help day and night.
Would you like to consult a doctor, but your health problem is not acute? The WebDoctor at Medgate allows you to electronically forward your medical history to them day and night. A Medgate doctor will then contact you within 24 hours.
