When it comes to setting the level of your premiums, it is not only changes in healthcare costs that count; your premiums are also adjusted if you move to a different premium region or enter a new tariff age group. As of 1 January 2019, customers born in 2000 and 1993 will be allocated into a new tariff age group (also refer to the sections “Reaching adulthood” and “Youth premium”).
The Swiss government imposes environmental taxes and duties on polluting substances. This money is returned to the general public via health insurers. In 2019, you will receive CHF 6.40 per month from the environmental levy. The amount is listed on your policy.
Premiums will remain unchanged. They will only change if you enter a new tariff age group.
