When is it worth taking out ÖKK PREVENTION?
ÖKK PREVENTION supplements your basic insurance in the areas where you would like to invest in your health actively and with foresight – with exercise, prevention and healthy nutrition.
Whether it’s for the gym, a sports club, cycling or cross-country skiing, ÖKK PREVENTION contributes towards the costs and helps you to stick with your chosen activity. You also benefit from contributions towards medical check-ups, vaccinations and preventative gynaecological and urological examinations.
This supplementary insurance is worth having if you practise sports regularly, take advantage of fitness services or are conscientious about attending preventative medical examinations.
Please note that ÖKK PREVENTION can only be taken out as an add-on to ÖKK START. Maximum amounts and conditions as specified in the benefit table apply to individual benefits.
Questions and answers (FAQ)
Submitting your invoices is easy – for instance for a bike service, a swimming pool subscription or the membership fee for your sports club:
- Simply scan the document with the myÖKK app and submit it directly
- Scan/photograph the invoice and upload it to myoekk.ch
- Scan the invoice and e-mail it to info@oekk.ch
- Make a copy of the invoice and send the original by post to your responsible agency
All of the following preventative examinations are covered by your basic insurance: vaccinations (as per the Swiss vaccination schedule), colonoscopies and skin examinations for patients with family histories of conditions, up to eight preventative examinations for pre-school children, gynaecological check-ups incl. smear tests every three years and mammographies. A complete overview can be found in the Health Care Benefits Ordinance (KLV).
However, with a suitable supplementary insurance policy like ÖKK PREVENTION, you will be reimbursed up to 90% of the costs for selected preventative examinations and vaccinations, for example.
With the ÖKK START and ÖKK PRÄVENTION supplementary insurance policies, you automatically benefit from BikeBonus and/or NordicBonus. Both services are integrated into the health account.
Together with the other measures in the health account in the areas of family, nutrition, exercise and other prevention, you receive up to CHF 500 per calendar year. If you add the preventative measures to that figure, benefits of up to CHF 800 are possible.
ÖKK PREVENTION covers 90% of the costs of examinations per calendar year – provided that no costs are paid by the basic insurance in the current calendar year.
