When is it worth taking out ÖKK PROTECT?
ÖKK PROTECT supplements your basic insurance in the event of legal questions or disputes relating to your health. You benefit from legal support and financial security – for example if you are involved in an accident, are unhappy with medical treatment you have received or become involved in a dispute over benefits from an insurance company.
The supplementary insurance supports you throughout the process and protects you against high lawyer’s and court costs, including for legal disputes outside of Switzerland. This enables you to stay on top of difficult situations easily and provides the security you need.
ÖKK PROTECT is valid for the insured person, their spouse/partner and children and young people up to 18 years of age provided that they are all living in the same household and are insured with ÖKK. Please contact Coop Rechtsschutz AG, the risk carrier for ÖKK PROTECT, directly in the event of a claim.

Insurance-related legal disputes
These include disputes with liability, accident, health or disability insurers, for example. The non-insured disputes can be found in the General Insurance Conditions (ÖKK PROTECT Art. 2.4).
Persons who have concluded an ÖKK PROTECT policy with ÖKK can benefit from this health-legal protection. The insurance covers all persons who are insured at ÖKK under a joint policy with the aforementioned person as well as children and young persons up to the age of 18 who live in the same household as the insured person and are insured at ÖKK. More information can be found in the General Insurance Conditions (ÖKK PROTECT, Art 1.5).
The insurer for the ÖKK PROTECT health-legal protection and the ÖKK TOURIST travel legal protection insurance is Coop Rechtsschutz AG, 5000 Aarau. ÖKK Versicherungen AG has concluded a collective insurance contract as a policyholder with Coop Rechtsschutz AG as the insurer to provide health-legal protection.
