When is it worth taking out ÖKK START?

ÖKK START supplements your basic insurance in the areas where you would like to reliably close the most important gaps in your basic insurance. The basic module offers you access to flexible, individually extendible supplementary insurance policies. That way, you can put together your own supplementary insurance package step by step – easily, transparently and in accordance with your needs.

Please note that you can take out ÖKK START up to the age of 65 and that waiting (qualifying) periods apply for certain benefits.

Questions and answers (FAQ)

ÖKK START is aimed at everyone whose needs go beyond what is offered by basic insurance. As a basic module, it enables you to choose from all ÖKK supplementary insurance policies and put together an individual insurance package. Furthermore, it already includes a number of important supplementary benefits that are a useful addition to the cover offered by basic insurance.

The insurance term lasts one year. The contract is automatically extended by an additional year if the insurance is not terminated by the applicable deadline. If supplementary modules are concluded in addition to the basic ÖKK START module, the insurance term of the ÖKK START basic module is based on the insurance term of the most recently concluded supplementary module and may therefore be up to three years

The ÖKK START basic module provides a straightforward foundation for your personal insurance solution. With it, you can combine the supplementary insurance policies that are right for your situation in life.

ÖKK SMILE

If you wish to expand the dental benefits under ÖKK START, ÖKK SMILE is the ideal policy. In combination with ÖKK START and depending on the model, ÖKK contributes up to CHF 15,000 per year towards the costs of orthodontic treatment for children and young people up to the age of 25.
For wisdom tooth extractions, ÖKK START covers 90%, while ÖKK SMILE covers the remaining 10% (depending on the model).

ÖKK NATURE

The combination of ÖKK START and ÖKK NATURE is recommended for wearers of glasses and contact lenses. The contributions can be combined.
