ÖKK BASIS, our classic basic insurance, offers you a free choice of doctor. Alternatively, you can choose between four further basic insurance models (CASAMED) – in line with your needs and with attractive premiums.

With this model, you select whether to first contact the independent telemedicine provider Medgate by phone, enter your symptoms in the Medgate app or contact one of our partner pharmacies. This way, you remain flexible and save on premiums.
With this model, you select whether to first contact Medgate by phone or enter your symptoms in the Medgate app. Quickly, easily and cost-effectively.
In this model, your GP practice is your first point of contact. You will receive personal support and, where necessary, referred to a specialist. You also save on premiums.
For all health-related questions, your first point of contact is always your HMO centre. Here, there are several specialist working efficient and in coordination in the same building. You also save on premiums.
Would you like to choose which doctor treats you and, if necessary, have direct access to a specialist? With the classic option, it’s up to you.
Switching models explained
All insured persons with ÖKK BASIS can switch to a CASAMED model with effect from the start of any calendar month, irrespective of their deductible.
If you would like to switch from a CASAMED model to the BASIS model or another CASAMED model, it is possible to do so as of 1 January of each year. You must notify us of this in advance, by the end of November (last Friday of the month) at the latest.
