In the interests of its insured persons, ÖKK advocates for efficient service provision and appropriate treatment costs in negotiations with hospitals and private practitioners. Its aim in doing so is to maintain high-quality healthcare provision and prevent the creation of financial disincentives.
In exceptional cases, it is not possible to reach an agreement in these tariff negotiations, and no tariff contract can therefore be concluded. The result of the lack of an agreement is that we do not recognise these hospitals and private practitioners. As a customer, if you stay or get treatment at a non-recognised hospital, or if you get treatment from a non-recognised private practitioner, you will have to pay the costs of certain services on a semi-private or private ward yourself (in part or in full).
You can see which hospitals and private practitioners are affected below. These lists apply exclusively to insured persons with the following supplementary insurance policies and with policies starting on or after 1 January 2026.

The version of the list that is valid at the start of the treatment shall always apply. Changes can be made at any time, and the right to make them is expressly reserved.
